Distracted writing

Hello! I hope that this post makes sense today! There is a spider on the ceiling right near me, and I am very distracted by it. I can’t reach it to get rid of it. So, now I’m sitting here, looking up at it every four seconds to make sure it’s not moving. I am now worried a spider is going to fall on me or near me. So, I am very distracted writing this.

And that made me think of what I would type if it did fall on me, which made me think of this bit from “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”:

“If he was dying, he wouldn’t bother to carve ‘Aaaargh.”

Anyway, I just looked up at the ceiling and didn’t see the spider and jumped for no reason, because yes, the spider is still there. ARGH. Speaking of Monty Python, I’ll include my favorite scene in that hilarious movie:

The animator dying just killed me the first time I saw this movie when I was probably 10 or 12 years old. Fun fact: This movie was the first DVD I ever owned. My parents bought it for me, and I still have it, 19 years later.

I’m not super sure how I started talking about Monty Python, but it’s amazing what being distracted by a spider can do to my brain. I’m going to get on with the bonus ghost story now, then try to figure out a way to get rid of the spider of doom.

Yes, I’m talking about the dot on the ceiling. Yes, I’m afraid of something that I could probably kill if I sneezed in its general direction. But look at it. It’s mocking me, menacingly.

So, disclaimer again: If you don’t believe in ghosts, then stop reading and don’t comment on how you think it’s nonsense. When I am in a place that’s haunted, I can get impressions of what the place used to look like or of things that happened there. And one of the most fascinating things is when I can confirm that the impressions I get actually happened. (I can get impressions of the spirits too. Read about one experience here.)

If you ever want to see if you have any abilities, I recommend an antique store in an antique building. So many times, spirits are attached to objects, and there are plenty in an antique store. I can walk into an antique store, and it feels like I’ve walked into a fog. The air is so thick, and everything is so active. An empty antique store always feels crowded.

So, there is one particular store in my city that is heavy with that feeling. It used to be two floors, and the top floor was overwhelming, especially in one part. Unfortunately, they closed that floor off to the public, so I can’t go up there anymore. What’s interesting is that not long before they closed it off, they expanded the area that the public could access. They opened one particular room up that was terrifying to walk into. Whatever was in there did not like that the room was now accessible. I wonder if that had anything to do with them closing up the entire floor.

And on the first floor, there is a section in the back that hardly has anything in it. And I am glad for that, because it’s just as bad as the upstairs room. Thick and terrifying.

Well, one day when I was in there, I got the impression that there had been a fire nearby. I got the impression of a panicked woman running down the stairs to the fire. And I found out that a massive fire did happen nearby. Here is the story. It is always amazing to find facts to confirm my impressions. I love it.

Until next time!
