Bit of this, bit of that

Hello! First off, I just wanted to say that my mom told me to tell everyone “HI!” from her.

I’m really excited about this new job. I have five days off from my last day at this job and the first day of the new job. I am going to arrange my office in a much better way that week. Currently, I use a work laptop to do my job, but I will be using my own computer for this job. So, I have to get my setup comfortable.

Right now, I have a good chair, but it’s not great at all for sitting in for a full work shift. So, first thing I did was buy a new chair. I am really looking forward getting it. It took a few days to actually find what I wanted: A reasonably priced chair NOT made of leather, with a cushioned seat and adjustable and padded arm rests that are set in such a way that I can sit cross-legged in the chair. I finally found one. Delivery expected this week!

I am also going to clean up my room and the den and set up a dedicated exercise area. Right now, I have weights in one room and an exercise chair in another. So, I’d like to move everything around in the den and set up the exercise area there. The office is in my room. And I have had no time to give my room a thorough cleaning, so I’ll be doing that as well.

Onto the ghost stuff! (Sorry I have to keep doing this, but disclaimer: If you don’t believe in ghosts, stop reading and don’t comment on how you think it’s nonsense.) First off, I didn’t get much sleep last night. I think all this talk about ghosts and the haunted house kind of energized the spirits here. I fell asleep, but I was jolted awake at 1 a.m. “Someone” was in my room and hung out there until 3 a.m. He wasn’t scary or anything, it’s just that I can’t ignore the feeling I get and therefore can’t fall asleep while feeling that. The room was thick — I don’t know if anyone gets that description, but that’s what it was — and I could feel it dissipate.

So, I mentioned yesterday that one thing that I experienced in this house was my bed shaking at night. I’m going to go into a little more detail. There is one particular upstairs bedroom that has a lot of activity. It’s the room where the door handle turned on its own, and the door opened on its own. It’s the room where I saw the apparition of a man, who came right at me. It’s the room where I had my first terrifying experience. It’s also the room where if I wasn’t asleep by 2 a.m., I would feel someone come in and I wouldn’t be able to sleep at all. It’s where a painting kept getting thrown off the wall. I have also seen an apparition of a woman in white in there, but that’s a story for another day.

So, one thing that would happen in there a lot — as in several times a week — was that I would be lying in bed, I would feel the room get heavy, then the bed would shake — like a really mild earthquake. It would last what seemed like forever, but it was probably a few minutes. Then, I could feel someone sit on the bed. Sometimes, I could see the impression form. Now, this wasn’t some kind of “falling asleep” hallucination, because this would sometimes happen when I wasn’t even trying to sleep. It would sometimes happen when I would be reading a book or just lying there, not tired at all.

I get comments from family members on why on earth I would ever sleep in the basement, but I’ll tell you, I would rather be in the basement than in that bedroom. I have had experiences in this bedroom for sure, but nothing as often as in that other bedroom.

Until next time!
