Sigh. It’s September

Hi, all. I’m bummed. It’s September. September means autumn, and then winter. The best months of the year have passed. Sigh.

Yes, it’s still warm. In fact, it’s insanely humid out, and it has been for a couple days. Yesterday, I washed the car in the rain — yep, I sure did — and by the end of it, I was pouring sweat. I had to roll up the hose afterward, and I just about melted. But I would rather deal with that every day for all eternity than deal with winter.

So, yeah, I washed the car in the rain. I hadn’t washed the car since maybe September of last year. And because I haven’t been driving the car, it was just covered in layers and layers of gross. I wanted to use the rain to wash the car so I wouldn’t have to use the hose. Of course, though, the rain stopped.

Spring pollen was still on the car. And spiders. There were SO MANY SPIDERS. So, even if it hadn’t stopped raining, I would have gotten out the hose because I had to wash off the spiders. And I had to pretend that once they were off the car they were dead, because I couldn’t handle the thought of them walking around on the driveway. I was barefoot, and I probably stepped on some, and blargh.

Anyway, I’m going to have to wash the car again. There was a such a buildup of grime that I couldn’t get it all off. So, hey, lesson learned. Keep your car clean even if you’re not using it. So many spiders.

So, the start of September makes me realize that I am getting closer and closer to being jobless while not doing anything at all to find another job. That’s pathetic, and I’m really mad at myself for it. (For those of you who don’t know, I have been told that my job will be eliminated at the start of the year.) I think I keep thinking that something is magically going to happen to make it all go away. But I really need to buckle down and get my act together. I’m really disappointed in myself for being so lazy. If you have any tips for finding a job, changing careers, know of people hiring or anything else, please please please let me know.

Now I’m off to do my job that I enjoy and will miss when I eventually don’t have it anymore. Sigh. Until next time!
