Hello! I am feeling a bit better today. I’m still a bit wiped out, but I’m OK. My niece is home and doing well after surgery, so that’s a relief.
So, I wrote out an entire blog entry already today. Then I realized it sounded really familiar. Then I looked at my old blog posts and found out why. I already wrote about the same topic in detail. Hahaha, oops. It was about living with my mom. I had seen a post online today that made fun of millennials for living with their parents, so I wrote about that. Again, apparently. Here is the old blog post.
Sometimes, I am just amazed at how my brain works — or doesn’t work. The other day, my coworker asked for suggestions for a headline on a story. I gave him several. Then later in the shift, I was proofing his pages and emailed him “That’s a great headline! Better than what I came up with.” And he responded “You wrote that.” Oh. I didn’t remember, and somehow I ended up complimenting myself like a giant moron.
I’m sure my friends and relatives can think of plenty more times I did something just beyond all common sense and logic. And because it’s my brain trying to think of examples, I can’t right now. My brain doesn’t want to betray itself.
So, I’ll leave you with this horribly gross and terrible story about myself. If you’re at all squeamish, don’t read this. This is a story about one way I scarred my sister for life. First off, I want to point out that I was a kid, maybe 5 or 6, when I did this. I thought it was completely fascinating how the legs of daddy log legs would keep moving after not being attached anymore. Well, my psychotic child self decided to find as many as I could and pull the legs off, collecting the legs in one bucket and the bodies in another. I cringe just thinking about it. Then I showed my sister. And to this day she — extremely understandably — has a fear of daddy long legs. As well she should. And I do too, now, by the way. As well I should.
So, apologies for the fairly short post and the terrifying story and video. The post would be longer if I had a functioning brain. Until next time!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
