What’s good for you could be bad for you

Hello! I am crazy late with today’s post, but that’s because I wanted to wait until after my doctor’s appointment concerning my liver and autoimmune condition (GPA). I was way too nervous to write anything earlier.

So, I still don’t really have any answers. I have to wait for the results from the bloodwork and urinalysis. I am hoping to hear something quickly this time around.

I saw the nurse practitioner today. I told her about the dieting, exercise, weight loss, new citrus allergy and going through premenopause/menopause. She says that the intermittent fasting and the exercise could have contributed to the bad liver results, just because it was such a shift from what my body is used to. The medicine I take could also be to blame, and I personally feel like that’s what it is. Or it could be a combination of everything.

She told me not to worry yet — yeah, right — and we’ll have to see what these test results look like. But she did say that I could still exercise, thank goodness. And I am still going to diet, but I am going to go back to eating lunch and dinner instead of only eating dinner.

Here is a random photo of a cat because this post is a bummer.

It was really great to get weighed today, though, as the last time I was there I weighed a lot more than I do now. I usually dread that part, but I was so happy about it this time! I was sure to point that out to the NP.

Oh, and just a bit of randomness: I was wearing my Nicktoons T-shirt today, and as I was walking down the hall at the doctor’s office, someone yelled “Rugrats!” I thought that was hilarious.

And I want to give a special thanks to my mom, who went with me today. I didn’t know how much blood they were going to take, and I was worried about driving home, which takes about an hour. She waited in the car, and it was hot, and I felt so bad! Thankfully, the appointment didn’t take as long as I thought. I did buy us dinner, though.

Well, hopefully, I will get the results soon and will know what steps to take soon.

Until next time!
