Uh-oh, I didn’t exercise and I ate lunch today! I have a good reason. I had to get bloodwork done today, and I’m drained.
I am actually writing this blog on my phone today because blahhhhhhhhhhhhh. I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and took an iron pill.
I don’t feel great right now, and part of it is just the fear I felt all week and today leading up to having to go to a health facility to get this done.
I will give Labcorp credit, though. Masks are required. There was a little kiosk where I could check in instead of talking to the nurse. It gave me the option of waiting in the car as well. So, as far as safety protocols go, I give it high marks.
But it doesn’t make it any less terrifying, to be honest. There were other patients there. The nurse has interacted with people all day. There were people who waited until they got inside to put on a mask. And there was one lady who didn’t have one, though the nurse did give her one.
I mean, that feeling isn’t all that new to me. As someone who is immunocompromised, the fear of contracting any illness is terrifying. I was always hiding in the furthest chair away from everyone in waiting rooms.
If I get to feeling not like a vampire attacked me later, I may get some exercise in. Not outside, though — record heat expected today.
Sorry for the short post! Hopefully I’ll feel better tomorrow. Until next time!
